Fabrication

BGS has 2 fabrication shops, one in Slab Fork and one at BGS North, Fairmont. The BGS North shop runs 2 shifts per day/6 days per week, and Slab Fork runs 2 shifts per day/7 days per week. These schedules mean we can get your fabrication work to you when you need it. BGS is a nimble operation that can mobilize to meet last-minute deadlines, emergency situations, and crises in the field.

BGS performs its own platework and structure fabrication with the assistance of proven skills from experienced personnel. Ceramic, Basalt, UHMW, hard plate and Stonehard liners are installed at our shop facility. All on-site field erection work is performed by BGS field personnel, supervised by our experienced construction foremen.

For cost efficiency, our goal in fabrication is to make the largest possible pieces that can be field assembled on site. We have a lot of experience in moving very large fabricated pieces on-site. We work closely with the major shipping carriers to ensure best delivery to your site.

BGS is also very good at "shoe-horning" new equipment into older, existing spaces where tolerances are very small. AutoCAD allows us to plan within inches of tolerances when fabricating and installing retrofit projects.
